Known as the “Paris of South America,” Buenos Aires is filled with striking European architecture, a rich café culture and steak- lots of steak. It also happens to be the host of the South American Gaming Suppliers Expo (SAGSE), one of the most prominent gaming tradeshows in Latin America. The three-day event is designed for senior gaming executives to network and create new business opportunities in South America. Last month, I visited Buenos Aires with TransAct’s Director of Marketing Armando Flores, where we displayed our premium gaming products at SAGSE and enjoyed the charm of this cosmopolitan city.
SAGSE, which has been held for the past 26 years, proved to be very successful for TransAct. After meeting with local casino operators, we were very pleased to see that attendees were excited to learn about our gaming products, specifically the Epic 950 casino printer. The Epic 950 is the industry standard in TITO printing and currently installed in over 750,000 slots throughout hundreds of casinos and gaming operations worldwide. The printer supports dynamic graphics, firmware updates and new features for legacy firmware, proving to be reliable and preferred by casinos.
Attendees also had a chance to learn about the latest iteration of Epicentral, which is the gaming industry’s only enterprise-level promotion and bonusing software suite that can target customers in real-time while they play their favorite slot machine or electronic table game. With infinite possibilities, Epicentral allows users to run multiple promotions at the same time, create games within games, offer multi-user/multi-site promotions, and much more.
Buenos Aires also happens to be my hometown, so it was great to be back. In between show days, I visited family and showed my old stomping grounds to Armando. We attended the San Telmo Sunday Fair, which takes place in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city and features local art, music and food. Following our visit, we expect continued growth in the Latin American gaming market and look forward to coming back next year.
