The programming that drives your AccuDate 9700 terminal is all contained on a small micro SD card inside the unit. This includes your menu, your batches, your created items, and even the program that displays these things on your screen.

In the course of updating or troubleshooting and issue with your terminal, it may be necessary to remove this SD card. With this part of the terminal being as small as it is, take extra care during this process!

First, ensure the terminal is powered off, then locate the hidden, spring-loaded port compartment on the right-hand side of the terminal’s screen. Push down on the tab at the top, holding it down firmly.

You will see an Ethernet port on top, and a USB port on bottom. In between these two is where the SD card is located, marked by an SD card emblem and a screw holding a protective plate in place. Remove the screw and plate to access the SD card

The SD card is inserted flush against the left side of the SD card emblem indent. Push on the card until you hear a click, then, while still touching the card, allow the card to be ejected backwards from the port. The card can now be removed.

To replace the SD card, make sure the gold pins face in the same direction as in the SD card emblem, towards you. Make sure it is flush to the left side of the indent, then push until you feel a slight push back and then click. If you do not feel a push back or click, do not continue to push. The SD card may be misaligned, so try again.

Restore power to the terminal, and it should boot up normally.
