Not only does Niagara Falls offer stunning views, but it’s also home to a booming gaming industry. I recently had the opportunity to visit the Cataract City with Lou Kelly, TransAct’s vice president of sales for the eastern region. Lou and I were there to attend the Canadian Gaming Summit, which ran from June 18 to June 20 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Ontario. The event included a tradeshow, in which we exhibited and were happy to share a booth with Bet Rite, our Canadian distributor. The summit also featured eight educational seminars that encompassed the year’s theme, which was “Technology Holds the Key.”

At the show, we met with top casino operators and fellow gaming industry leaders to promote TransAct’s Epic Edge and Epic 950 casino printers. In addition to displaying our premium printers, we also showcased Epicentral, our promotion and bonusing software suite designed to target customers in real-time with customized coupons.

TransAct is committed to helping the gaming industry grow in Canada. As such, we’re happy to announce that earlier this year, with the help from Bet Rite, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation ordered all their new slot machines to be run with Epic 950 casino printers. Additionally, the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation confirmed it will feature 1000 Epic 950 printers in its casinos. We are thrilled for these business ventures, and we look forward to continuing to grow our presence in North America and beyond.
