A few weeks ago, I returned to the Harbour City to present TransAct’s leading gaming products at the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE). This year marked the 30th anniversary of the largest gaming and hospitality exhibition in the southern hemisphere, and the turnout did not disappoint. Sydney is one of my favorite cities, and it’s always a pleasure to work here. Even though the weather was chillier than usual, the warm, fun attitude of the Australian people kept us afloat.

One of the main products displayed was the Epic Edge TITO printer, which is currently being released worldwide. We were very excited to showcase the “Edge” because its technology is the most advanced on the market. Packed with an unmatched 300 DPI print quality, a high-speed firmware uploading solution and a single interface board for all games, there is no question about it.

Another highlighted product was our software suite, Epicentral. Epicentral is the gaming industry’s only enterprise-level promotion and bonusing software suite that can target customers in real-time with unique, custom-designed coupons. Epicentral – through two distinct offerings – creates unmatched in-casino promotion and bonus offerings in concert with the Epic printers installed in the gaming devices and at tables throughout the casino. Designed to deliver casino revenue growth, our gaming software has successfully driven increased game play, time on device and player loyalty for more than six years and it is the natural choice for operators looking to implement printed ticket bonuses on their gaming floors.

Before I returned to the United States, I also took advantage of meeting up with our partners in the region, the Bright Group. As our sales partners, the Bright Group focuses on the local market and gives our customers the best possible sales and tech support. I also made sure to stock up on my favorite Australian treats- Tim Tam chocolate cookies! Until next time, Australia!
